Join Our Team

Brainstorm Speech Therapy is a small, boutique, bilingual pediatric practice in Falls Church, Virginia — and we're always glad to meet therapists who share our heart for this work.

We're not a volume-driven clinic.

We're an intentionally small team that values depth over scale: real relationships with families, unhurried sessions, and the freedom to truly individualize care.

If that resonates with you, we'd love to talk.

Who are we

We're multilingual, neurodiversity-affirming, and family-centered to our core.

We believe in connection over compliance, child-led and play-based therapy, and walking alongside parents as teammates — not bystanders.

Every child here is deeply known, not processed.

What we'd love to see in you

  • You genuinely enjoy working with children and families.

  • You practice from a neurodiversity-affirming, child-led, and play-based lens.

  • You see parents and caregivers as part of the team.

  • You value individualized care over one-size-fits-all approaches.

  • You enjoy collaborating with other professionals involved in a child’s care.

  • You’re curious, open to learning, and excited to keep growing.

  • You’re bilingual or multilingual. Spanish/English is especially helpful for our families.

  • You’re licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia. Additional state licenses are a plus.

Most importantly, you bring respect, flexibility, and a genuine desire to connect with the families you serve.

What we offer in return

We want Brainstorm to be a place where clinicians feel supported, trusted, and excited to come to work.

You can expect:

  • Fair, transparent compensation based on your role and experience

  • Flexible scheduling

  • Autonomy to practice in a way that aligns with your clinical values

  • A small, supportive team where your work is seen and appreciated

  • Sensory-friendly therapy spaces

  • Access to our Brainstorm library, digital resources, therapy materials, and assessments

  • Families who value collaboration and trust your expertise

  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and explore your clinical interests

  • Coffee, snacks, and the little things that make the workday better

And yes, a founder who still treats clients too.

Irene understands the role because she’s still doing the clinical work herself — navigating sessions, documentation, families, and all the real-life pieces that come with being an SLP.

We’re building something intentional: a practice where clinicians can do meaningful work, families feel cared for, and people are treated like people.
